Members receive our newsletters and reduced rates for all our events. All donations are tax deductible.
Individual membership is $20, families are $50, donations of any amount are GREATLY appreciated. Please help us reach our goal of 250 new members by the end of August!
Mission: "The ARC is a non–profit organization that owns, administers, and maintains facilities available for community meetings and events and promotes youth and adults working together with the community, for the community."
Located on an island in Maine, Vinalhaven's non–profit Arts and Recreation Center, the ARC, is all about kids and community. Half the ARC building is home to the VYZ (Vinalhaven Youth Zone), a supervised student activity space with basketball hoops, a ping-pong table, weights, and an LCD projector. The other half of the building houses the ARCafé, the island's first internet café coffee shop. The ARCafé is a place–based education project advancing an apprenticeship model of education for young islanders.
